Swiss company TOPAKUSTIK AG remains one of the most popular acoustic brands today. It was founded in 1991 by Arthur Fries, a woodworking entrepreneur. Not only did he recognize the potential of acoustic products, he also laid the foundation for the brand’s success.
Burj Khalifa, Dubai, 2010
The world’s tallest building was the biggest challenge for TOPAKUSTIK in Lungern. The challenge was particularly technical, as more than 2,000 different TOPPERFO M cladding elements were manufactured for the project, each in a different shape.
Rue Raspail, Paris, 2015
The ceiling cladding on Rue Raspail consists of triangular panels made of veneered and micro-perforated copper. France has been one of TOPAKUSTIK’s three most important markets worldwide for many years. As the “Grande Nation” is known for its appreciation of beauty and the finer things in life, the aesthetics of TOPAKUSTIK and TOPPERFO are a perfect match.

Bloomberg, London, 2018
The new London headquarters of the Bloomberg media group has a truly spectacular lobby: three six-meter-high freestanding walls that gradually lean toward the center. Architect Foster named the lobby “Vortex.” The wall cladding was made of American red oak TOPPERFO Micro cladding, which required more than 5,000 differently shaped elements.
The story continues
The company’s latest product in 2021 was TOPAKUSTIK Line, whose panels can be freely designed with any graphic decoration. The Red Dot Design Award international design competition therefore awarded the product the highest honor that year: “Best of the Best.”
